Micromax launches powerful Funbook tablet for Rs 6,499

 The capacitive touchscreen bearing tablet has Android ICS, 1.2 GHz processor and a number of attractive features.

 Micromax has announced the launch of its first tablet for just Rs 6,499. Named as Funbook, the tablet comes with a very impressive specification like the latest Android 4.0 operating system, 1.2 Ghz processor etc.




Micromax Funbook will come with a 17.8 cm (7 inch) capacitive touchscreen with 800x480 pixel resolution and in 16: 9 ratio - more like traditional tablets. According to the handset manufacturer, the display is capable of multi touch inputs and thus supports pinch-to-zoom functionality



It has a Cortex A8 processor, 1.2 Ghz processor, and Dual Mail 400 - 2D/3D graphics processor for multimedia processing. Interestingly, it will have Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, making it perhaps the cheapest device to feature the latest Android version. Besides, it will have 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory which can be expanded by upto 32 GB through an external micro SD card.

For data connectivity, it has option for WiFi and 3G connection through a dongle. You will also get a Tata Photon EVDO data card for free with the tablet with 1GB of free data download for two months. The Micromax Funbook tablet is available in slate grey and black colours.

  1. One has to think many times when you buy Micromax Products. There products are very poor quality though it looks fine, further after sales service are also poor. I have two mobile now unused.
